Now that Barack Obama is our 44th president, what will America look like? Just from him getting this far, I can now tell my nephew that someday you can be anything you want to be. If you study hard, apply yourself and never let anyone discourage you. You can achieve anything. I can say this statement to my nephew and not feel like it's total bs. Something that Chris Rock said recently that I agree with is that You don't have to tell a white child that they can be anything that they want, they already know, and now he knows that he won't have to give his children that same pep talk because it will be obvious that they can do anything that can possibly dream of. What Issues do you feel need to worked on? What countries do we need to repair relationships with? Will he help us achieve energy independence? Not in 4 years but on the right track. When will the Iraq war end? What will happen to banks after the federal bailout? These are just few questions that President-Elect Obama is going to have to face. And the American people don't necessarily need all their problems solved, I feel that we need someone who would care enough to even know what our problems are. During the past 8 years I have had the feeling that my voice, and voice of youth culture was not really important to our last president and his administration. Why is federal finacial aid for college students such a complicated process? Why aren't our public better funded? Why aren't our teachers paid a competitive wage? When you ignore the education of the younger generation nothing good can come of that. But what are the issues that you all feel needs to addressed in an Obama Administration?
